Default A question about Hard Drives

    Greetings

I'm in the process of gathering components for a new PC build at the end of this month, but I'm unsure how to proceed for the Hard Drive. I want an SSD, probably a Samsung 240gb unit I have spotted, on this I intend to install Windows 8. However, I don't want to buy a new standard Hard disk when I have a 1tb unit in my current PC.

My question is this; how does that work? Taking an existing drive with Windows Vista on it and installing it into a new PC that will have Windows 8 on an SSD. It's not that I want to run both simultaneously, Vista would be uninstalled eventually.

just format the HDD. I don't recommend the 840 non pro series.

I just bought the new 840 EVO 250GB(still not the pro) they review very well. Are these ok, or do you know something I don't?
    There £150, instead of £200.

I don't like em simply because they don't offer the buffer that the pro has. the new software and firmware that samsung developed makes it bench faster, not necessarily translates to a better SSD

I still prefer the m500 over the 840 pro, mostly over the cost, or the plextor m5m
