worth the upgrade?
my friend might be getting a new processor for his HP, i dont need to get into tech specs, already reviewed them and itll be fine, im just wondering for him if itll be worth the upgrade

i mean, i exact same thing as the first link celeron D is the factory stock one, hes already had it for a year, would it be worth $100 to get that P4?

I say no. If you plan to upgrade for MTW2 or some similar reason, best to just save up and get a AM2 X2 3800+ and a nforce 590 board or a Core 2 Duo e6300 and a P965 board. Though I slighlty digress. But its not worth it (what you are suggesting).

Well, some will say yes some will say no.
Those who say yes will say cache is important, those who dont really don't care about cache.
For an upgrade for a gaming computer I say its a waste of money, time and effort.
For an upgrade, he really isn't aiming very high, and the performance increase will be minimal.
