Does anyone know of an easy way to add land bridges to the map without replacing the entire current map I'm using?

You have to edit the map*. Anyway, why do you need more landbridges? I was so happy to take mine out.Originally Posted by Invoker47

I'm trying to get rid of the black plague that is Macedonia by giving it something to concentrate on more eastwards, but I suppose I'll just continue messing with things in other ways.Originally Posted by florin80

Even with land bridges, the Big Macs expand like nothing else in all directions. Your best bet would be to hit them where it hurts - their economy. Greece is a very rich area, so you'll have to balance the Greek Cities as well or you'll just end up with them taking over the Balkans rather than the Macedonians. I found doubling just about all of their upkeeps seemed to do the job.
well if the bactria somehow expanded north but there where landblocks so i dont think that making landblocks will help whit macedon ;] you better balance the greek city states and make macedons economy much weakerthat will help
Actually, I've found that it's the sheer number of provinces with ports in Greece that makes Macedon so damn powerful once it takes over the region. Especially since trade income is badly exagerated in the game. My question is why does Macedon always get to take over the place? What gives them the advantage that makes them so apt to take over the entire Grecian area?
Honestly, I'd rather Greece or Thrace of Illyria take over and be like Macedon is. I just want to fight someone besides Macedon in Greece!

in all the games ive ever played, ive only seen the Greek City States defeat Macedon in greece. pumping up the starting money for thrace and illyria seems to help, in fact last game as Rome i had to battle through Illyria to even get to the core Macedonian provinces. with all the landbridges in the game (which i had initially opposed and removed only to discover that without them some factions just take over certain regions) im surprised there's not one from north africa to souther spain, which is stupid because it would give Carthage more of an incentive to invade Iberia if it gets that far in the game where it can, and it makes it harder for Iberia to invade africa if it wins spain. that landbridge should be added, as historically it was an area that was much traversed, moors invaded spain, vandals going south, etc etc.
With BI, Carthage actually does conquer and reinforce Iberia in my games without a landbridge.Originally Posted by dharos

Really, if your aiming to fight somethign else in Greece, then just send money to other nations. Unless your going VH/VH then you probably have more money than you need after 10 or 20 turns. Going above 50 gives all your family bad traits, so just send your surpluses to a certain nation in the Balkans. If you send it to Greece then they will DEFINETLY beat Macedon, because they can afford their expensive units. I sent money to different nations every turn, and my game turned out great, with Greece/Macedon having the Balkan split down the middle, and it kept Illirya and Thrace in the game.
