please help I have some kind of a bug when entering battles :/

First of all, I absolutely love the game. All credits to the developer team, they have done a great job. Can't wait for new patches

But the reason why am I now starting a thread is that my game tends to crash really often... But its not just often, the problem is, as I have found out, that whenever there are some kind of special units (e.g. Sauron,Balrog,Ents,Giant Spiders) the game crashes in something like 80-90% of battles. I sometimes have to plan totally different tactics because I don't want to let the autoresolve battle which is awful

Those are really valuable units, and surely there must be a way I can use it.

Now i have tried to fix this problem, read a lot on these forums, turned the daylight saving time off, tried to find some descriptions in the data files (I had them all backed-up so no problems with that), I reinstalled the game twice and still there is this super glitch. Whenever there are normal units my game runs smoothly. My computer is pretty strong ( I7 intel processor, 6GB ram, GTX560Ti graphic card) so I think it's impossible that my machine is failing me

Please help, it really gets on my nerves

1. What Windows do you have?

2. Is your M2TW steam or non steam version?

3. Have you installed all four TATW Installers?

4. Are you using any TATW Submod?

5. Your i7, how strong is it ( GHz) ?

6. Have you disabled UAC or edited security BEFORE installing TATW?

7. Do the battles without these SPECIAL units crash?

3. What do you mean by all four? I have 3.2 TATW...
4. No, I am not.
5. 3.2GHz
6. Not BEFORE installing. Didn't know I have to do it before installing..
7. I can, but sometimes I have to fight against them and i can't because of the bug. I am just asking if there are any kinds of bug fixes for this particular problem

You should reinstall, go here ( http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...h-pictures-!-) ) there are pictures for proper installation, and these steps you need to do which are explained there:

1. Edit security for your main M2TW folder, unhide hidden folders and check VirtualStore for M2TW folder and delete it.

2. Delete Third_Age_3 folder from your M2TW/ mods folder.

3. Install TATW by using non steam installation instructions ( by all four TATW Installers I meant TATW 3.0 Part 1 and Part 2, TATW 3.1 Patch, TATW 3.2 Patch) .

4. Disable daylight saving settings, if you have Windows 7, 8 or Vista, go to Control Panel, Clock, Date and Time, Change the time zone, Change time zone, uncheck `Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Savings time`. Apply and OK.

It's not that. It's just I didn't have time to do that yesterday

One question. Is there a way to save all my savegames? I'm on round 250 with Mordor, and I don't really want to go all over again

Your savegames can be imported later after reinstallation, but there is a chance they might not work.

They are located in M2TW/ mods/ Folder where TATW is installed/ saves folder. Copy them now, and paste them later BACK into this same saves folder.

After that, delete map.rwm file in your M2TW/ mods/ Folder where TATW is installed/ data/ world/ maps/ base folder. And, delete 27 *strings.bin files located in your M2TW/ mods/ Folder where TATW is installed/ data/ text folder.

And hold your fingers crossed that it will work
