Default Allied Reinforcements Features, How Will It Work?

    Hello Everyone,
I was wondering about how will allied armies reinforcements feature work in the battles we fight,
will it be gradual when a unit is wiped out another joines? or instant where we would
have a great number of units on the battlefield at the same time?
Another question is with the original Rome TW, the prefrence txt had an option regarding reinforcemets, witch was
Unlimited men on battlefield which gave us 2 options FLASE or TRUE.
will the preffrence txt in Rome 2 have a diffrent feature regarding reinforcments, such as how many stacks are allowed at one time on the
battlefield? for example, intead of having an TRUE, FALSE reinforcements swith, we can regulate 3 stacks, 4, 5, or as many as your
    machine can handle.
If anyone could shed some light on that, I would be greatfull.

If you have a 20 unit stack, and your faction has a reinforcing arming, you will have direct control over it instantly.

If your allies are coming in they will come in at once, without a limit I'd think, obviously you wouldn't control them

If I understand it right, you're allowed 40 units total on a battlemap ( that you can control). This means you could have 1 stack of twenty units that could reinforce you if you first fielded 20.

Actual will probably be able to make that unit count go over the 40 unit limit, as you won't be controlling them anyway. I wish we could remove or greatly increase the unit limit, as I think reinforcements etc is a bit annoying in that armies from the AI and even the player have a hard time joining up and resembling the force they might on the campaign map, and that goes for allies. In history, you'd hear of them fighting all at once on the battlefield, not marching in mid-battle when their allies might be losing by then. However unfortunately I don't think we'll see this for this game or even the next TW, if at all, since no one seems to notice it but me.

Why? I thought we can control reinforcement? So we can only control reinforcement from our faction?

    Another question,

If i have 2 full stack armies besieging a settlement and my ally send reinforcement, can i expect to see their army going to battle to help me out?

So am i going to see 3 armies attacking at the same time in the battlefield?

What if i have 2 armies and 2 of my allies help me out, so are there going to be 4 armies attacking at the same time?

    That would be epic!

Okay, I guess I'll have to elaborate a bit :p.

You can have 2 armies (that belongs to you) simultaneously on the battlefield, these will be under your direct control. If you have more armies reinforcing, then these will send in units (in groups of 3 I think) when your original units rout from the battlefield. Any allied reinforcements will be controlled by the AI but they will enter the battle immediately.

    In groups?
I hope they can send their whole army at once without waiting for some of my units to rout?

Here's jack lusted's response: How do you control reinforcing armies or fleets?
Armies and fleets can have a max of 20 units in the campaign. During battle you can directly control 40 units, or 2 full stacks. The main stack will be deployed at the start of battle, and the second stack will come on as reinforcements as blocks of 5. You control all of them directly. If you have more than 2 stacks on the campaign map, the units beyond 40 will come on as units rout or are withdrawn. The 40 units under your control is the max and can be 40 land units, 40 naval units, or 20 land and 20 naval units.

So what I first wrote was not entirely correct. The second army will enter the battle in blocks of 5 that you control directly. Any more armies that you have will replace units that you have withdrawn from the battle/ routed from the battle, you will have direct control over them as well.

(You will always have 40 units on the battlefield, when you lose some units the rest of the reinforcing armies will reinforce up to the 40 unit limit)

Ahhh, i see... Why do they need to arrive in groups? Cant they just arrive at once?
I hope reinforcements from allies arrive at once with their whole army...

    Anyways,

I guess i'll have to wait until all the units of my reinforcement arrive on the battlefield so i can control all 40 units at the same time...

Additional, if i have 2 reinforcemnt from allies, there are 4 armies attacking at the same time at all.... Wonder if my enemy still have spirit to fight back....

Its better if your enemy can also ask help from his allies so we can have multiple factions in a single battle...

    P.s.
    Thanks greve!
