Default Does Rome 2 have some competition?

Once Rome 2 is released, pretty much all the bugs and problems will be chizeled out of The Great War Mod. Now, of course I will be buying Rome 2, The Great War is free. However, I do work a full time job and have other social priorities. It will not be like the Rome 1 days where I was a bit younger and still able to devout an obnoxious amount of time to video games. So what do you think? Some of you are Ancient War fans, and I know some of you have been longing for a WW1 total war.

--BTW I do not want to insult anyone by doing this, I am not making a poll or saying which one is a "Better" game, I am just looking for who is into what, and will this mod detract any of you from diving strait into Rome 2? I know I will have a debate between the two now ever time I go to play a Total war game come September 8th. I feel WWI if the last war that can really be playable on the TW system where once fully mobilized armies came into existence, an entirely different playing style seems needed.

I think that initially almost everybody's focus will be Rome 2.
Cant argue about that can you?

    I'm devoting time to both.
I am the author of the "Weaker Towers" and "Officers Of" series of mods for Total War: Warhammer!

    Why not play both?

I'll still be playing Roma Surrectum and Stainless Steel by the time Rome II comes out, who cares? Just play what you like, it's not as if you have to only play one.

you having a laugh mate!!!! Nice way to get the TGW mod on Rome 2 thread!

Two different time frames and genre of game and probably different types of TWC members as well, Ancient era warfare all day long for me and Rome 2 will take a lot of members away from many mods to play this game, that is the way it is when a new game is introduced.

TGW isn't free. You need Napoleon to play it.

And no it isn't competition to Rome II.

Closed as this has nothing to do with Rome II gameplay. Go to the Great War forum to talk about it or go to the General Total War Discussion to talk about the future of Total War after Rome II.
