Rome Total War II install on my SSD or not?

Well,

I'm excited naturally with Rome Total War II being less than 2 weeks away and recently got a new computer that came with 512GB SSD drive and 1TB , 7200 RPM HD (Non-Raid)...

Therefore, the question I have is should I install it on my SSD when it comes out? or stick with the 7200 RPM hard drive instead? I figured, because of all the loading to the "battle screens" the total war series usually does that it may get the same kind of benefit like I normally do when playing Skyrim, which is the only other game I have installed on my SSD (even though I know it still comes down to the GPU and all that fun stuff) and more importantly I have the space for it (still 383 GB to spare on the SSD) thus curious to hear if this is something I should consider, or if the computer vets out there think it's a terrible idea .

the game install is like 35 gb I would install on the ssd for the improve load n seek times.

I don't think there is a PC that would benefit from being installed on an SSD and of all those games a Total War game is the one that would benefit the most.

I transfered my Shogun 2 off my SSD to make room for Rome 2 and now when I start the game I am like: " now... nowww... noooowwww.... NOW DAM YOU!"

I have a smaller SSD like 70Gigs left but I'm saving it for Rome2. I know it will only effect load times but that's good enough for me. I have a lot more room on the 1TB left but still going to use the SSD.

Just remember to backup your save files to another disk as SSD can fail without warning.

I bought a new PC with a Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB(my only drive) for one main reason, faster loading times for CA's games, partic RTWII, along with my OS.

I rebuilt my PC with a new CPU (i5-3570K), GPU(GTX 770), Mobo and SSD. Not only does Shogun 2 (and other games) run faster with much higher graphics settings but the load time at start of game and especially between strategic map and battles is MUCH faster. The load time with an SSD is about twice as fast! If you can afford it buy a SSD and buy the biggest you can. Make sure to put you OS on the SSD for max effect (also cuts boot time in half or less!)

Be aware, load times during campaign gameplay, for example when you click end turn and have to wait, that particular loading isn't effected by the SSD.

SSD will only decrease load times while starting up the game, alt tabbing in and out between the game and other applications, loading the campaign and your loading the battles.

There is zero FPS increase from installing on an SSD.

Thanks, totally aware when it comes to FPS increase it's all about the GPU, and hopefully my GTX 690 will be up for the task, but the main reason I figured it would be good for the SSD, is mainly for the part you mentoned about Battles. I remember how long I use to have to wait in Shogun 2, espeically when I started playing a modded Shogun 2 with all the great texture packs (which I know will happen in RTW 2 eventually), that sometimes it would take up to 45 seconds to a minute sometimes to load the battles.... Figured with an SSD those loading times will be improved big time and in the end of the day I'll be spending less time waiting and more time "playing", heh.
