Quite a few factions ahead of them in the DLC line I think. Not to mention they had a fairly minor effect on the Roman Empire compared to Selecuids, Pergamum (spelling?) for example.
The Moralizing Empire.

Too many factions I would like to be added before them. Though since the poll is pretty much angled so my answer is a yes, it's a yes.
If they add something more than just different starting position for Iceni, I think they should be added. But before that, we need Seleucids, Pergamon, Getae, Lusitani, Bosporan Kingdom, Scythia etc.
I by no means think they should be involved in the first wave of DLCs but it would be nice to see them eventually. As to better reasons for them being included than "It'd be cool!" I'd say they were arguably the most troublesome aspect of the Roman occupation of Britain. They were a force that had to be dealt with for a significant span of time (much longer than the flash in the pan Iceni I must say) and although Agricola defeated them and several other generals led campaigns deep into their territories they were never subjugated by Rome and remained a thorn in the Empire's side for as long as it occupied Britain. The best example of this is the construction of Hadrian's and later the Antonine walls which were built in large part to check Caledone aggression and control trade with these people.
Remember, it's just a game.
I have absolutely 0 interest in a caledonian faction.
If there are no thracian or iberian DLCs I will be disappointed though.
also 2 factions in such a insignificant place in ancient times would be a bit much. Better get more flavor elsewhere.
Yeah especially Dacians/Thracians would be tempting. Nothing better than kicking some arrogant Hellennes with them.
Iberian Tribes would be cool too, unite the tribes against the Roman and Carthaginian threat.
Caledonia doesn't interest me, especially because there are not that many tribes and Iceni are already playable.
god damnit I WAS going to give rep, but you'll have to convince the mods to let me use it again. will rep asap once LestaT decides his punishment on me for off topic remark was too much![]()
Well I'd sure like them to be free but if it takes me buying a DLC pack to get them, I sure will![]()
I personally invite you to check out my complete combat overhaul which will give you a completely new Rome 2 experience:

But surely those 2 factions were significant to each other right? I think intrabarbarian warfare seems more interesting than Rome vs. barbarians. Calcedonia is far enough away that you can almost forget Rome exists while you are playing there, while playing as Averni they will be a much more immediate threat.
So voting yes means we get +rep? You just won my vote. Democracy at it's finest.

They would be cool, but I think they would live up to their mysterious reputation if they were left as an AI faction. Plus there are a whole load of more deserving barbarian factions before them. I wouldn't be upset if they were made playable though, because the Romans need to realise that burning Irn Bru is much more potent than oil

Voted yes, fierce warriors in battle (when they leave the bottle alone)
In our regiment, we used to say the most strict Sgt Major you could get, was a wiry, red headed, Scotsman, they were pure.................................................Blighters!
But Id have nobody else behind me in battle other than a Jock![/QUO ifTE]
Only if I could give 2 rep...
As long as unplayable cultures (Dacians/Thracians, (Celtic)Iberians) get a dlc first, i would gladly have the Caledones playable earlier or later.
So yes![]()
Every faction is thousands time better that the unfortunately already present Iceni.
What? Whats wrong with the Iceni? They were probably the most powerful tribe in southern Britannia.....Boudicca was Iceni, and the story of Boudicca is known even to people who arent generally interested in ancient history....so why the hate towards the Iceni? lmao
Im just happy to be able to play a faction in Britannia at all.....it could easily have been eclipsed by another non-Britannian, more boring faction like the Seleucids or the Pegamemnons or w/e the hell.....the Britannian celts were different from the Gaulrs or the Celtaberians and for a number of reasons i think the Iceni could be one of the most interesting factions to play as ^^
