best bands of today

i think mars volta is but what would u guys say the best band of today is

Really, im not sure what the best badn of today is, all different bands are good at different genres, the best band wouldbe too much of a generalisation.

There is no best band of today since there is so many genres. But mine are

1. Pavement
2. The Beatles
3. Green Day
4. Foo Fighters
5. Red Hot Chili Peppers

I can't imagine that there any good bands that exist today.

What I meant was that the bands that didn't start 2000 and up. Ones that are a little older and still(a few active). Also Pavement was a 90s rock/indie/alternative band. Good stuff. Their language is very pepperful

Only ones I can think of are

and maybe a few other bands but not too many...

AFTER the 90s

there are still a couple good bands today but most of them are bands that are not that well known

The Smashing Pumpkins (They've reformed folks)
Incubus
Pearl Jam
Velvet Revolver

Bah! There's loads of class acts around these days.

Indeed, what a nearly impossible question to answer.

The best band today to me is Oasis, followed closely by the Foo Fighters. There are other good bands today, but popular music does seem to be in a bit of a rut right now.

there are so many better bands than the beatles like deep purple motorhead, bosten, megadeth the clash, jimi hendrix, the who, and others dont get me wrong they are a good band but nowhere near the best

I like some of those bands. In my mind no band is better. It is what I feel like that I listen too.

No idea which band(s) is/are really the best, but in my opinion The lostprophets deserve a mention.
