The Rome II Badge Competition is back on! You decide what will be our next set of badges! Get creative and show us your best work and your badges could be the official badge set for Total War Center forums. The Rome II skin has now been released so you may match your badges to the look and feel of that theme. Submission time begins now and lasts through the end of the month ending on Sept. 2nd.
Feel free to open your own workshop thread here, in this forum, so that we can all work together and provide feedback on the work we are doing. After all, we are a community and that's what we're here for: to help each other out.
Competition Rules
The badges must be Roman-themed or, at least, clearly related to Antiquity (we wouldn't be averse to seeing a hoplite or two).
Badges MUST remain within the 175 pixels wide and 60 pixels tall. They MUST NOT be animated. PNG files are preferred, in order to maintain a high degree of graphical fidelity.
Users may submit up to two badge sets in different styles.
The "God in Colchester" and "Stalker" badges must retain their current imagery.
The "Content Director" and "Content Staff" badges must retain the Calvin and Hobbes imagery. Librarian and Content Artist may contain them or not, depending on your artistic sensibilities.
Each badge submitted must have text that is easy to read, and font color must correspond to the name color of the usergroup involved. For example, Moderator badges must have bold blue font.
Everything you submit must be your own work. Blank templates for use may be provided, but you are also free to create your own (for personal use in the competition and sharing, which is caring) or use open source material. twc_badges_template.zip
Submissions do not need to be 100% finished. Some small tweaking will be allowed for the winner.
You MAY NOT ask for votes. You MAY advertise this competition, but you MAY NOT advertise your own submissions. If you do so, you will be disqualified.
Submission time ends Sept. 2nd at 11:59pm GMT -10. Entries may be edited anytime before this time.

We do already have an artist award. ( see here, scroll down and you will see it) So, I don't think we need a new award just for badge creation, seeing as also, this doesn't happen very often.

That might be a possibility. It's not something I considered before Prom and you brought it up.

After submission period is over there will be a poll where all members can vote. Then there will be a second round of voting where the top three go at each other again, so that members who's pick didn't make it into the top three have a second opportunity to decide which one they like best.

By All Members I hope you mean all Citizens and not others as basically the Citizens and staff are the ones that are going to use them , its not right that others not part of the site substrcture and organization do vote on those .
Btw I remember it was agreed that the God in Colchester and the Stalker badges could have different "Roman Themed" Icons , but retain the writing text .
I think that using the same Image woudl create a lot of problems and inconsistency , its already hard to implement two cartoon but those 1700 1800 style Images do not fit at all .

No, it was already stated before that the God in Colchester badge has to have the picture of George Washington and the STALKER badge has to have that picture from the STALKER movie.
