Porting peltast unit from one mod to vanilla - javelin not showing
Hello,
I hope I ask the question in the right forum, but here is my problem.
I ported a unit - Thracian Peltast from XGM to Vanilla (for my private use).
Everything worked fine, except the fact that their javelins are not showing -
they just stand wit the shield in one hand and the other hand empty. When
they are trowing the javelins, it looks like they are throwing stones, except the fact that the
javelins are flying to the enemies. I have to mention that in descr_model_battle I changed
their animation with one from vanilla.

it's not all from the animations
the unit's main problem is from the .cas and .tga files of curse can you upload the files? I want to check the problem

Tank you for reply.
I will try to post them later these afternoon (I am at the office right now and I do not have my PC). Still, I realized I forgot to say that in XGM the unit works fine, the javelin is in the models hand.

The models and textures are fine. The problem here I think is because you didn't port the textures to vanilla as well, since I just checked that vanilla's UNIT_THRACIAN_SLAVE.TGA and UNIT_THRACIAN_THRACE.TGA (textures of the peltast you want to port) don't have the javelin and have it's area painted as black in alpha channel.
If you've already copied the textures, I'd suggest that you change the xgm textures' name (both files names and in descr_model_battle.txt) in vanilla folder, something like UNIT_THRACIAN_PELTAST_SLAVE.TGA and UNIT_THRACIAN_PELTAST_THRACE.TGA and see if it works.
