There you go guys. Enjoy as long as it lasts judging by the DO NOT DISTRIBUTE disclaimer in the top left corner it may not last very long . Also remember this is footage from the preview code of the prologue campaign handed out at the Rome event = NOT FINAL

One problem I found was the huge balista, while the technology for them existed in greece at the time, I don't believe it did in italy, and even if it did, I don't think it was used at this time, what do you guys think?

edit, also, there flaming projectile's trails look like the space shuttle taking off :O

2nd edit, the fact that you can put artillery on the walls is VERY cool

3rd edit, i like that assassins can now wound, pretty cool feature i think

Imagine destroying the enemy's wall and watch the soldiers fall down, yelling as their balistas crushes them

Yes they are. Don't know why you would be surprised. All Cav units were dismountable in Shogun II.

Yes this is the attacking testudo. I think Jack explained this is the one the normal roman infantry will form, flanks covered he said (this is old footage from the preview code of the prologue handed out at the Rome event most likely) while the defensive testudo is formed by spear troops like triarii as seen here.

i found that about the testudo :
    (from jack Lusted himself)
    http://forums.totalwar.com/showthrea...ed-with-part-3!

Why is the testudo depicted the way it is in-game, and what benefits does it have compared to the normal shield raising against missiles?
We have 2 testudo formations in the game. The attacking testudo is mobile and has the front and side protected, and is a documented Roman formation. The defensive testudo, used with spear units, is stationary and the front rank kneels with the ranks behind having shields over their head. This is based on the testudo as used by, for example, Mark Anthony against the Parthians.

The screen above must be an old one, because the front is certainly not protected

Are Romans forced to use their right hand for everything? Would be nice to have some diversity there...
