Alexander looks up from his work. "No I do not need funds the Archon has graciously agreed to provide any funds I need from the cities vault. No I have money what I need is entertainment. Do you know of any who could provide music and the like for the games? They would be compensated."

"Ah yes a need runners to go around and announce the games to honor Athena and celebrate the glory of Athens. Some children of the street should do nicely. They work for cheap and it's not a complex job."

On hearing of the games proposal, Kleitos goes to see Alexander to offer his services.

"Greatings friend, i come to you to offer my services. My name is Kleitos and I am a craftsmen and sculptor, and i thought maybe you would need something made to commemorate the winners of any events, and possibly something from the city to offer to Athena?"

"This sounds wonderful," Nathan says looking up. "How about this I will commission a sculpture of Athena to commemorate the game and a bust of each of the champions."

ooc as for money I have to talk to m about it but I think I can pay you for this if you right out a nice rp about creating the sculptures and go into some detail. I can't give away money for free but if you right and rp that m and I thinks deserve it you could make a nice sum of money. So how much you make will depend on the quality of the rp.

Kleitos feels the rush that art provides him, his head immediately filling with materials, styles, casts and moulds.

"For a sculpture of Athena, i would be able to create something roughly the height of a tall man and i think doing it all in bronze would be for the best. Obviously some ivory and some gold would also be required, for finishing touches and so on", while he talks, Kleitos visions his piece in his head and he knows he will be moving away from the more severe style of sculpture.

"For busts of the Champions i think marble from Mount Pelikon would give best results, but for these and the statue of Athena the materials alone will be costly so if you wish i can use materials of....... less..... worth"

"No only the best shall be used for the games. And a statue of Athena should be of the finest materials. Don't worry the state will pay for any materials you require.""

A runner arrives bearing word from Demosthenes Keltos.

Message from Demosthenes. The children proved largely successful. Being the prominent cultural center that it is, the streets and public places of Athens are filled with artists of every kind, including musicians. In the east, Peucestes finds a group of struggling aulos players, who jump at the chance to earn some extra cash.

Lydia manages to locate a skilled player of the hydraulis, however, due to the complexity of the instrument, he does request to be paid the standard fee for his services in order to pay for maintenance.

Lykon has much less luck than the rest of the children. After spending the entire day roaming the streets, he knocks on the door of one of Greece's most famed pan pipe players, who, taken aback by the scruffiness of the child, charges a pretty penny for his performance.

Dimos and Penelope were both very successful, both finding musicians who agree to play for free. Dimos finds a high strung chorus of elderly women who agree to sing for the exposure, while Penelope tracks down a patriotic conch blower who seems happy just to play in a citywide event.

    -500 for the Aulos players
    -1,000 for the Hydraulisist
    -2,000 for the Pan Pipist
    -Singers are free
    -Conch Blower is free

The runner also informs Alexander that Keltos has paid the 3,500 Drachma to the singers himself and the same runners sent words of the Games throughout the city.

A helot messenger rides up to the gathering of men. He reads the message without bothering to dismount.
My King of Sparta has message to deliver that our champions shall be coming to win the games. He also advises the philosophers to not exert their frail health and to watch the Spartan and their prowess of physical activities.
