Default Need Help Replacing Vanilla Unit Skin !

okay, i recently downloaded the stainless steel 6.3 mod and all the units are pretty awesome
so... i wanted to replace my medieval II total war vanilla unit skin with the one on Stainless Steel, is that possible?
If it is, would you be kind enough to tell me how?

    Thanks

Didn't notice this earlier, you want to replace units in your original m2tw game with SS units? If you want to take units and put them in another mod that is much easier.

If you do want to edit m2tw files you are going to have to 'unpack' the files. I have never done this but i can find a tutorial if your still interested.

They have pages in the submod section

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forum...p?653-Sub-mods

Honestly it would be much easier for you to play SS then try and transfer every unit over to vanilla m2tw. Its a very tedious process and if you mess up something your game will crash. If you are still up for it I can explain in detail.

Check out this tutorial, if none of it makes sense then it might be a bit above your skill level at the moment.

That is always a risk. I actually keep 2 versions of ss on my computer. Regular and modded. That way if I mess up I can just replace the one file instead of having to re install.
