    Icon5 pre order

i would like to buy rome 2 total war now but i don't want to buy it online. many of you say that it is safe but you are still throwing money on the internet. who can promise that it comes to the right person. so my question is: is there a way to preorder the game without the internet?

Walk to your local computer game retailer and find out.

As above said, go to a local game shop.

And even if you're paranoid about spending money on the internet, Steam is still 100% safe. I think I got around 70-80 games on my account, and had the account for 6 years, no problems with Steam. I feel more safe about buying games from Steam than Origin for instance.

You can try Amazon, they take your money when they ship the game (so before 3rd september), and perhaps there's the option to pay to the delivery guy when the game arrives (with an higher cost).
Disclaimer: the post above is way way prealpha, the final version will be way better than this.

@the victor: Steam is totally trustworthy, fellow Belgian speaking.
All the money on your savings account is also "online" in a way. It's not because it's digital that it's automatically unsafe.
Only use legit organisations like you would do with real money. Companies like Paypal, iDEAL, Steam, etc. won't run off with your money.

    Hello!

How close to realese date can you pre order to get the greek dlc? I'm moving so I can't buy it before I move because then it will get to my old address.
And yes I could buy it from steam however I want it on disc because it will go much faster installing and it would fit my TW collection quite well

Sorry for changing the topic a bit but I found it unnecessary to start a new thread, hope it's ok.

I assume on 2nd September ? However you must note that not all retailers include the free DLC so check first before purchasing.

Steam or Amazon are 100% trustworthy retailers and those two should cover all your needs in digital and boxed versions. Don't see your problem. If you have some sort of issue with giving them the money and having to wait for release you can just wait for the 3rd of september and go to your nearest electronics market.

As far as I have seen here in Germany we don't have pre-order boxes for Rome II on the shelves, so you will have to talk to someone at said market and ask if they have a pre-order programm. But I doubt they have it, since there will be most likely no shortage in physical copies anywhere near western europe.

Just buy it online. Use a site like Amazon, and sign for the parcel.
