Default Manual Control and Third-Person Naval Command

It has been stated that R2TW will support Third-Person Artillery Shooting, and there is already a screenshot confirming it...However, is the feature also applied into Naval Units? Can we, Players, able to control Ships? Likely so, but still unconfirmed so far.
In R2TW, surely even the most powerful Polyremes would not carry engines as effective as Rifled Cannons or as many as FoTS Ironclads sports...Meaning I'm not interested in controlling the engines...It's the ship controls that I'm interested with...

I'm sure most of you have watched Naval Warfare Previews, and getting anxious to do Ramming Attacks...

The main Ramming vessels would not be the Heavy Hexeres and even heavier Polyremes, as they are Hard, Huge floating fortresses full of Seamen; but the much lighter Triremes, which would not carry large number of marines. It is imperative for these lighter vessels to get close, Dash to Ramming Speed, Punch Hole in Enemy Hull, Disengage-BY REVERSING. Why reverse at once? to hinder enemy marines boarding the ship, and retreat for another Ramming Attack. Ramming Vessels are not Assault Ships- They are Hit-And-Run Vessels...

However, seems that BAI do not understand that Rowing Vessels or Steamships can Reverse...this is apparent when ships failed to get to their appointed place in a formation: They'll make a round, even though they can simply reverse into place...This is why Manual Control is needed...
After watching the Previews, Looks like Ramming is just a mean for Boarding Attacks, rather than a separate kind of attack. Of course I'm hoping for Automatic-Reverse-After-Ramming, but after watching I'm won't count on that...so I would just use the Manual Reverse Command for disengaging...I'm also start questioning, is forced retreat from a boarding attack is possible? or the boarding attack HAVE to finish the enemy ships?

True, that Third-Person Direct Control is not needed for this, as the Manual Command Compass is enough...But Wouldn't it be FUN?
I fear that the ships that does not have on-board artillery will not have Third-Person Direct Control...just like In S2TW, only Cannon Mekurabune, Caravels, and Carracks can use Third-Person Controls(All carry artillery), even if I'd like to do Kiting with Kobaya(non-artillery), for instance...

    In Short:
    1. Will there be the Manual Control Compass?
    2. Would Ramming Ships able to disengage at once by Reversing?
    3. Would in R2TW not only Artillery Ships have Third-Person Mode?
    4. Can a ship Forcefully Disengage from Boarding Attacks by moving to another direction?

    1. I don't see this in The Video, Unfortunately.

And I see no Wind Direction Compass...Is this means there will be no Sailing Ships?
