    Default Combigned battle/normal battle question?

Anyone know how it fully works? As i understand it you say, siege a city you have one full navy with 20 combat ships + the accompanied units, and your own 20 unit army? If this is the case, what about normal land battles? Does the 40 limit apply there too? say if you had two armies of 20.

Confusing to say the least, i should have watched more dev videos.

That is correct if you have the reinforcement you can have 40 units in a battle, 20 max for army or navy. Same for normal battles, 2 armies of 20 each

Great going to be a lot of fun sieging from 2 sides the 3rd cant come quick enough. I take it in a land battle both armies would be under player control? Going to be take some getting used to if that is how it works.

For your information, this was already possible in S2TW. You just had to tick the "control large army" box on the pre-battle screen once the number of units at your command exceeded 20 to get to play batles with up to 40 units, yours to control.

One army (land or naval) can contain 20 units at most.

You can have 40 units (naval or land) in one battle having the second stack of 20 coming in as reinforcements, either you have: 20 land + 20 land or 20 land + 20 naval or 20 naval +20 naval (not sure if this one is possible tho) or 20 land +15 naval + 5 land (pretty sure you can make this happen too).

Also, when you disembark units from a ship, you can't use the ships anymore so it won't be like you suddenly have 40 land units and retain the 20 ships.
