Default Transition of campaign to real time in Ambush?

When playing campaign: if you are attacked, the computer will show you first what type and how many units does enemy have before loading to real time battle...

    I hope in rome 2,

-the ambusher panel should be filled with 20 units of "?" no matter how many they are in the victims screen while the ambusher can see what type of army does victim has.

    or

-it should directly load to realtime battle.

***You should be clueless what type and how many units are waiting for you in ambush...

Previously you only got a strength bar shown, which I thought was fair enough.

I don't think it is an improvement to actually know the composition of enemy forces, unless they have recently been spied upon.

Would be way more immersive, and thus, more fun. Thumbs up!

Not seeing the army composition should be a given, since it is an ambush so you didn't send a rider/scout/negotiator or whatever it is that always reveals the other sides army (which I think to be realistic and good). But the thing about saving I don't really get. You want it to be kind of hardcore, yes? But every round the game makes an autosave. So if I am a "cheater" who got crushed in a battle and don't want to accept this fate I always can just reload the autosave and maybe this time I will not even walk into the same ambush, or spring the trap with a bigger force.

But all this talk about ambushes is weird to me anyways, since I have seen an ambush battle about once or twice in the entirety of my Shogun 2 campaigns. It's a rare thing.

I wonder if this could work in multiplayer games. Someway for the other player to be clueless of how many units you have or what type.

But in singleplayer games does it really help you if the ai doesnt know what units you have? Does it even effect the AI?

But for you as the player its a good idea to not show the enemies roster. But I recommend instead of question marks dont even show how many men the enemy has or how many units. So for enemy force show a question mark for how many men. Plus your unable to check what units are there.

But I look forward to multiplayer battles where I can ambush enemy players with units deep in the woods. I am eager to try out the new Los system.
