I'd like to start off by giving Jack and everyone in CA a big thank you for showing off the Phalanx to us close up. It helped put a lot of fears away and re-assured people that one of the most iconic formations in this era is working correctly and will be reliable. Thanks, guys.
I figured since Jack went in really close and showed us a demonstration of how a specific formation worked and with it being received so positively, that it would be a good idea to maybe throw a few ideas at Jack as to what other formations we might want to see close up as well. There was always one thing that I had seen that always stayed on my mind and assured me that CA have made Rome 2 an amazing game. It was when I saw a Roman Cohort fighting in formation against an Egyptian archer unit.
Not exactly the best match-up I know but it was the way the Romans were fighting. It wasn't just hack and slash. There was visible thrusting from the Romans and everything was so organised and professional. I think it would be great if Jack could maybe do a video like this for next week.
This personally interests me a great deal as I almost always play as the Romans. I line my guys up in a very long straight line with reserves in the back, and it always ends up with the main body of the enemy crashing into my lines. So it's a big deal when it comes to the animations the Romans will be using when they are fighting in formation and in defence. I have put the link below and the time of where it occurs. It's not all that visible but you can make things out. Replay it a few times. It only lasts a few seconds.
It would be good to see how much cohesion is lost when the unit is flanked while being engaged in front etc.

Feel free to pop your own ideas down as well.
