France Gunpowder Units?

I'm doing a France late era campaign. the year is 1375 and i still can only make bombard cannons. I notice other factions can recruit hand gunners. Does France not get those units? Is there an updated guide that shows the units and time of arrival for new units?

They get them, but later. I think that Italy gets them first. Also, Byzantines get them after 1500.

I think France had really limited amount of gunpoweder units available. You probably should have enough money to get plenty of mercs though.

well France gets limited amount of gunpowder units, for musketeers you must wait until 1580.... for cannons more early you also can see all the units and when you take it here http://www.stainless-steel-mod.com/France/France.html.

I think thats an out of date site? I've never seen mailed foot knights..

Actually, that site is correct. It is updated to a different version of RC, I think 2.0, so that could explain why its not updated. SS uses a lower version than the one listed there.

Well for me the site is correct probably you haven;t see mailed foot knights because it is early period unit and requires a fortress so if you play only late campaign like me, you will not see them. But maybe i am wrong here.
