    Default Ancient Aliens DLC?

So the game is released in about two weeks time, there's no doubt that CA are considering what DLC they should make for this game.

I like how the game portrays the wonders in the battlemap, but it would be nice to get some deeper historical accuracy on how those wonders were actually brought into existence.

I think that CA should make an alien faction, not like the others, they shouldn't have land or armies but instead be like the european powers in Shogun 2. You can do diplomacy with them such as trading, getting new tech, which then allow you to build new buildings, and perhaps even get alien units, if you're really close friends with them.

I think that this is a really great idea as players will also get an insight into how the pyramids was actually build, instead of them just being object on the map with a slight bonus.

At first I thought you meant outer-space aliens and was thinking INB4 THE LOCK. But ok, good idea. I'd like the reigning power over China (Han?) and India (Mauryan?) to be alien powers, sending random trade/war ships over, although it would be kinda be centralised around Asia.

the chinese didnt build the pyramids.

But i support the notion, a dlc is a perfect place for an quasi historic aliens. It would be fun and fresh, but also optional for all the history freaks

    Couldn't resist.

But seriously. I think the mercenary system is quite enough for the time being. I think we will see some of the non-playable factions made playable with new units through DLC. And possibly a larger DLC Add-On that shifts the campaign to another era. Although this might be a lot more complicated than the change of era in Shogun 2. So maybe an expansion of the map (all the way to your aliens) or a concentration on a part of the map (happened in Napoleon) might be possible. And of course the blood pack DLC... we need that.

Rome 2 would be much, much better with units like this.

So, definately yes to an alien DLC with interstellar space ships!

That would be nice, but only if it has been historically proven, unfortunately I think that everyone agrees that the Star Destroyers never made it to earth. Atleaast not in the Rome timeframe.

Dominion of Dust. A city of sand. Built your world of nothing. So how long did it stand?
A 100 years? Now wasn't it grand? Built your world of nothing. How long did it stand?
What did you think would happen? When did you think it would all fall down?
Domain of dust in a land of sand. Did yourself right, so let's feel grand.
Domain of dust in a land of sand. Now there's nowhere left to stand.
