thanks, unfortunately I forgot one feature a lot of people call for "alternate attack mode" like we had in Rome 1. But it seems I cannot edit a poll, can I?

Would vote for AAM alternative attack mode, this was a feature I would see since shogun 2; in absence of this I felt to follow the vote of the Wise Old Chap (he gave us good mods and Prince of Macedon..his videos on youtube are legend, same as naxzul666). I'm not a fanatic of multiplayer and a massive user of it but with Rome, 'cause of an expectations never felt also during the past Golden age of my "player's career", I would try to meet on the fields some people here in a fair "see you at Filippi" mode. I can't vote on the poll, but I vote to bring back FFA and global chat lobby. Only multiplayer that I liked in the tw series. I miss playing with my clan.

unbelievable... Proteus updated the Steam Petition site and finally we will see a next step. A voted players council from elected people from community sites, forums and clans that represents the community towards CA and get into direct contact with their community managers.

Seriously_ fans voted against having avatars and permanent MP units? / we lost CLAN WARS, naval MP, and MP units and generals and all u have to say is "great job killing our personas in game"? Come on... shogun 2 was the best game EVER just because of permanence and clans... just work on the MP exploits and regularly balance units to prevent russian hordes dominating clans with zero thought tactics and sheer numbers. agree to disagree, and all/ but you guys just killed the series

Had to put in my vote for the global chat lobby. It would really add to the sense of community and its really something the series has been missing since Medieval 2. Im guessing this has something to do with them going with Steam after Medieval 2 and all the servers becoming localized. I also kinda remember CA responding to this a few years ago....it was basically something like "your steam friends lists blah blah blah".

I doubt your petition is the reason Avatar conquest was dropped (I would say it's more of a balancing issue). On top of that maps are the same size as always, 2km X 2km.

I actually don't think they have.

Napoleon had 2k by 2k maps too, and Shogun 2, and I think Empire too.

- alternate attack mode like in Rome 1 (sorry forgot that in the poll)
(attacking with swords instead of spears pressing the ALT key on attack commands)

- customiseable battle timers

That's all in past TW games too. Alt command is still working for secondary weapons last time I checked (most TW games haven't had a secondary weapon except if they carried a gun though...), and you can set battle time to 20, 40 or 60 minutes.

Or have they changed it for Rome 2?

I'll miss avatar mode... Not for the gameplay as it sucked getting the game late and getting beaten by a dozen full vetted heroes.

But the customisable options would be cool!

Thanks for your support everyone. I have not checked / compared the map sizes but CA stated themselves they enlarged them. I cannot proove this yet

I never said the petition forced CA to drop the Avatar but I said that was a main request.

Please invite your TW friends if they like MP to vote here or drop a line, and joining the petition group. Since I've opened the thread we grew by another 120 fans and now are over 1200

i wonder if there will come any MP info this week. Its the only thing preventing me from preordering. I cant remember any title where players had so little informations about MP options.
