I have preordered game yesterday.My only fear was the combat animations.Now ı am really happy after I have seen this rally point.Especially reaction animations when fighting is really well-made stuff. Also cavalry units seems more reactive now.Whole aspects of the battlefield is really cool.Thanks CA

One group was trained military, the other was guys taking a break from the shoe salesman convention to do a phalanx re-enactment (it sounded like a good idea when Harvey suggested it).

I hope its edited or tweaked game where the combat speed is fast... i Hope it will take a while maybe just like rome 1 or napoleon total wa....

Take note that the phalanx unit that lost was a levy phalanx, as Jack stated, the weakest phalanx unit in the game. The opposing phalanx took minimal casualties and was therefore most probably a very elite unit. A phalanx fight between equals should probably take a lot longer, just take the melee in the Rome vs Macedon vid for an example.

This would also be the first gameplay where they haven't sped up the combat or movement so I wouldn't worry about it.
