Aims of the League
Motto
To avenge the wrongs we suffered from Xeres by ravaging the territory of the Persian king.

The league aims to prepare for future invasion, to seek revenge against Persia, and to organize a means of dividing spoils of war. League members swear to have the same friends and enemies, and drop ingots of iron into the sea to symbolize the permanence of their alliance.

Policies of the League - Athens will assume hegemony and leadership of the league in times of peace and war.
- Members will have the same friends and enemies.
- Members shall contribute to Athens for the defense of the league, in either arms or wealth or in any manner Athens demands.
- Athens will have the responsibility of protecting the league members from invasions and rebellions.
