    Default Crash after a Liu Bei mission

    the game crashes for me right when i end my turn after completing the objectives of unifying Yi province.
    any help would be great, thanks.

    Can you post the log with trace set? (instructions is in sticky of Error subforum), and also move this over to the Error Reports subforums as well?

    Seems like random crashing to me, can you attach the file? (go advanced and you'll find a clip icon)

    It is a crash due to a missing entry in export_VnVs. It is already fixed in the upcoming patch. Not sure if it is save-game compatible, but try this:

    - Go to the mod's data/text folder.
    - Find the export_vnvs.txt file.
    - Search for LiuBeiMission12_desc
    - Change these entries:
    {LiuBeiMission12_desc}Objectives:
    {LiuBeiMission12_effects_desc}Conquer Chang An

    To:
    {LiuBeiMission11_desc}Objectives:
    {LiuBeiMission11_effects_desc}Conquer Chang An

    This is the fix but, like I said, not sure if save-game compatible or not.

    During tests there was no problem spawning all four characters of that sequence, I am going to check again.

    Edit: please run your game again up to this point and make sure to have the log set to trace. Once the crash happens, compress the log as described in the error sticky, 10MB will become 300K. Do the same to the campaign_script file (I only have the new, not yet released version) and attach them to your post or upload somewhere and provide the link.

    It was a simple, but fatal omission: the names of the characters were in the original faction slots but not in the new faction slot. It will be fixed with the next patch (another day or two). In the meantime add these 4 lines in descr_names under the 'france' faction's entries:
