I really should have put somethign it being a video but I was too excited. The barbarian ships looks pretty cool, I would imagine everyone will complain that htey look to much like longships but they had to give the barbarians navies and they seem to fit in well.

But yeah, it was kind of weird that the ships exploded almost every time they got hi by a larger ship but it could just have been chosen to look cool and might not be that frequent. If it is, then I'm sure I'll survive.

I think they used rowers in this time period. But I'm no naval expert.

sails were often taken off before battle to allow for greater mobility. See the Battle of the Ageates islands during the 1st Punic War

Not too happy about the viking ships... but I can understand why they did it, and I love their bows (ship part), everything looks pretty awesome: the explosive pots seem really cool, boarding looks very fluid. The destruction animations look a bit too instantaneous, though, like if the ship exploded.

Also, looks like fire arrows, at least for ships, are not an ability with cooldown like in Shogun 2, but a projectile type you can choose? Nice.

Overall: not bad!
