Default A Request to the Assembly; Parthia.

Salutations to you all, senators, berserkers and peddlers. I have made this thread to ask for, as the name suggests...

    Osprey pic removed. ~Chloe

    ...The Parthians.
The Creative Assembly, the dearest Britannian tribe that releases some strategical and tactical butchering simulators every now and then have released a plentiful of information about many factions. The Barbarians, the Romans, the Carthaginians, the Macedonians...THE GREEKS(Illyria will rise up and the Adriatic will be lost once more!). But nothing, not even a rotten pear has been thrown out about the Eastener faction of Parthia, nor any Eastern Faction in General(if Pontus is to be seen as an Eastern one). All that has been released is a number of Screenshots, and a few shots in one of the trailers. We have only seen about two of their units, some archers and the noteworthy Parthian signature unit the Cataphracts. Nothing about their structure, and in general anything. What will their government structure look like? How will Zoroanitrism be shown? Will you be able to convert to a more aggressive religion? Will they be able to expand really fast? Please, do toss an answer.
Even if they won't be my first, and probably not second playtrough, some wee information would be lovely for all the Parthian fans out there, and those of you, give dis thread some loving.

On another matter, no doubt the Parthian army will be a beast, and a tough nut to crack; possibly the best Archers in the game, explosivly heavy cavalry, armored elephants...

So please CA; do release some more stuff about the Easteners soon 'nuff!

(Is this a osprey picture ? Those are not allowed on the TWC, you should consult a moderator over this).

I would love to see some coverage on them, I would like to see horsearchers in action even more, and how CA has modeled them and if theyre functional.

I heard that some factions where going to have a monarchy instead of a council like others. So, it would be about maintaining the strength of the ruling family rather than trying to get into power amongst other families. Only really dealing with subjects etc.

I think Parthia is going to have a monarchy? Don't hold me to this. I can't even find where I read this but I believe that's the case. If anyone else has anymore info, do help us out

They have released plenty of screens/videos of the Parthians e.g.

The same cannot be said of the celts (Arverni and Iceni). I'd rather see some of them

Parthians feature in the screen above, as well as:

    One faction pic like everyone:

One epic city pic (something the celts certainly cannot boast) (and yes those ARE Parthians)

They are on the left hand side of this pic:

besides which they feature in the intro video (though I am not watching it because I want to be awed on first loading up the game)

I make that 5 places, as well as being in the distance in campaign map screens iirc
There are 2 celtic factions, and even together they do not reach this amount of previewing (of course in this respect Rome blows them all out of the water)

I really would like to see more of the Arverni and Iceni

Zorotraism wasn't state religion. After all their is no evidence that the Parthian Kings believed in this religion. We have hints that two Kings might have supported believers of that religion, but that is just all. Just because it was mentioned in the first post.

You'll probably be able to build shrines and temples for Zoroaster which will grant you certain bonuses but what seems to matter in this game is culture, not religion.

That is fine with me. I just don't like to put the Parthians in one religion because there is no evidence for that. I know people would like see them and the old persians prefer that religion but that is very doubtfull. Not like the Sassanids which really had that kind of religon.

Yes,And that was one the reasons that Ardashir-e-Babakan removed them from the map. In fact they had not any dedicate religion and that allowed Christianity and Buddhism became strong in their later period and zorostrianity was in the weaker position. So Persians who were dedicate and faithful fanatical Zoroastrians began to turn away from the parthians(because they didnt do any thing to deny this to happen and they didnt help Zoroastrianism to expand). And those unrest turns into a massive unrest and finally those massive unrest among Persians inspired Ardashir(who was a noble and his grand father was a high Zoroastrian priest)to make a rebellion against their former allies and became the new king of iran.If Parthians were dedicated Zoroastrians then none of those were happened.

You have a good point, I've seen enough Rome. I'd prefer to see the celts more though.
