Default Boromir not regenerating in version 3.0

Not sure if anyone else has this issue but I am playing gondor and Boromir's unit will not regenerate troops like other generals. I have not fought with Farimir so I am not sure if it just him or what but all the other generals regenerate troops like normal. In this version Boromir's unit is a citadel guard so is he not supposed to regenerate troops and I have to wait to retrain him when I can recruit those units or is this an issue that other people have noticed. I do not like the idea of one of my best general's dying because of attrition so if there is a fix to this problem like a console command or something I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks and btw just want to say that this is by far the best mod I have ever played for any game.

Hi there and welcome to TWC and TATW Forums!

AFAIK, Boromir`s unit starts with default unit size, then, if he looses lot of units in a battle, will regenerate only half or less of units.. For example, he starts with 120 units, and, after a battle has only 50 left, and will regenerate only up to 75 or some. I think that is how the game is set to be.

Also, why don`t you upgrade to TATW 3.2 ?

Hey, thanks for the quick response but that makes sense, in my game he started off with around 80 and is now down to 47 and would not go any higher so I was just wondering if he was ever going to regenerate but again thanks for the answer. As far as why I haven't upgraded to 3.2 I tried to install 3.1 but it would not seem to work. I use steam and I think it has something to do with the install going into a Third_age_3 folder instead of the Americas one I have set for the game. I tried moving all of the files into the Americas folder manually but it still didn't seem to update the game so I just never bothered to update to 3.2. If you have any advice on how to properly update the game as well that would be awesome but I am trying to figure it out but I am not to sure how. Anyways thanks again

Make a new folder somewhere ( just not in your steam folder) , install Patch 3.1 and 3.2 into it.

Open this new folder, inside you should find two folders: data and mods folder..

Data folder has to be copy/ pasted into your main M2TW folder ( merge folders when asked, copy and replace files when asked)

Mods folder: open it, you will find Third_Age_3 folder inside, open this Third_Age_3 folder, select all files and folders which are in there ( data, TATW. cfg, etc.. ) and copy/ paste them into your americas folder, merge folders when asked- and copy and replace files when asked. Start a new campaign.

Or you can use the Kingdoms launcher app. Meaning you don't have to overwrite the other folders.

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downl...o=file&id=2824

Simply run as administrator, click file > new mod > name whatever you want > click on browse, find the Third_Age_3 folder and click on it and ok > click on the kingdoms option for game exe > click OK.

It should now come up in the launcher when you launch the game.
