So Ricco moves to where the Venetians have settled after the seige. He has moved Venetians once before to his side, his men from the seige had been men that joined him on his venture and voyage from Venice. Now, more than ever, he needed to rely on the silver of his tongue rather than the silver of his blade.
Ricco wished to gather the captains of the Venetians and speak with them while their men were present. He may need the captains support, but if they were resistive, with the soldiers around he hoped to persuade a good many of them as well. The Doge had hurt the Venetians name and honor, Ricco Di Monte hoped to raise them as Latins once more.
