Yeah definately. Decisive battles using the MTWII engine would be awesome.

Yes it would. I found it a bit strange watching the game on TV like that, but it was an interesting idea at the very least. I wonder if anything is planned?

I love Decisive Battles! I own em all and it would be really cool if they used M2 for "Decisive Battles 2" or "Medieval Decisive Battles." Instead of the ancient era (which would be cool to) they could do the Medieval era!
I managed to miss all of the shows. All of them. never saw one tiny bit of them. .Originally Posted by Crusader Invasion

Bah, they should at least run re-runs of it on the History Channel, especially considering that it was from two years ago. Or at least charge a more reasonable price.Originally Posted by Archer

There is a preview clip available from Yahoo Games:

Anyways, it would be very cool if they were to remake the series using M2TW.
Excuse the silly question but is "Decisive Battles" the American version of the BBC's "Time Commanders?"
Loved that show. An MTW2 version would be outstanding!
Cheers

Time Commanders was totaly different than DB. DB was a documentery recreating ancient battles accuratly. Time Commanders took some ordinary people and made them play battles.
I watched Time Commanders off this site, we americans ate up Time Commanders because we got wind of the online videos of Time Commanders right during that period when RTW was about to be released, and everyone was craving for more videos and sneak peaks and stuff.
So yeah, I remember the Time Commanders videos were a very big deal on this site back then. And then someoen got angry and threatened to sue us or something and they had to be taken down. But thats how I saw Time Commanders, and I loved it, I also thought it was a better show than Decisive Battles. D.B. was kinda boring, the host sucked, I liked the British host much better.
British people always make superior hosts in america, for some reason, adds a touch of class to the entire production.
How can you say its the same? Heh its completely different. D.B. is where like the other guy said, they recreate battles using the RTW engine basically explaining how a battle happened. T.C. was where players played and tried to win a battle by issueing commands.Originally Posted by Kdar
Did you even ever watch DB?
Carnae was the best in my opinion for the show.

Time Commanders was a gameshow where a group of amateurs would take their hand at trying to be generals. Decisive Battles was more an educational/documentary highlighting a specific battle, and showing it with the RTW engine, and nothing else.
Time Commanders really was more interesting. It was longer for one, D.B. is only a half hour show. It was more entertaining with the noobs playing generals aspect of it, and they went into a little bit of background history of the battle as well. Plus, it had british people.

Yeah, great show. Too bad the DVD's are really expensive...what, over 100 USD for a few shows? At least on the history channel site.
Decisive Battles was an awesome show but I don't think it did too well in the ratings. It's either that or they just planned on making one season and that's that. Sure, it would be great if the History Channel would form another deal with CA for a new season of Decisive Battles, using the M2TW engine.
they show them on the History International channel on saturdays around 6 or 7 pm central time
yes i like time comanders =) i guess iw ould like to see american version also =))
