    Default Last Man Standing

What will happen to a civ that loses its last province/city?
    Will they disband entirely?
Will they have maybe the last armies just be rebels?
Or lastly will we see a similar mechanic to Rome, where you get a stack of peasants and some warriors and you can
become a nomad. Roaming around looking for a home.
I prefer the last one but don't know if they've mentioned witch rout they will take.
    Thanks for any responses guys.

If there is a large enough army in the field, rebels. If not, let them die. The "nomad" mechanic from Rome I was so flipping annoying.

I remember reading that if you still have an army theres hope left.

It would be nice to have a small army and be guerillas or something.

The "nomad" mechanic in BI was present to show the mass migrations set in that time period. It wouldn't be wrong if it was implemented, but with 117 factions, of whom most are 1 region factions, it would be a complete madhouse on the campaign map

Not if most of the nomads where peasant types. You could kill them and sack their supplies!
Reminds me does anyone know if you get anything for sacking an enemy's supply lines?
    Like gold?

If their army is of decent strength, then it should continue to exist.
But for an amount of time.

That reminds me, you could also have a portion of their navy turn into pirates.

Their armies should at least partially turn into rebels who reinstitute the faction once they sack another province. If I remember correctly this is what happened in Empire and it was taken out for Shogun 2. But it was very weird to see my capital being sieged by a huge army that just disappeared as I captured the last province of that armies clan.

The navy shouldn't turn into pirates imho. Maybe smaller ships should be available as mercanery troops but I really disliked the concept of pirates in Empire and don't want to see it again.

In shogun 2 you kept your armies as long as they were in the last region, they also became rebels to that region so they couldn't leave the region either.

I would really like 'horde mode' to return. Golden Horde/Timurids/Teutonic Order. If a nation loses all its provinces but still retains their family-leadership they become a roving army.

I don't think it would fit into Rome 2s time period very well but it's a tool that modders can use to excellent effect. Just think how much fun it would be to play a Late Empire conversion mod with a horde of Huns appearing in the east, sacking and conquering all of the border tribes you had kept pacified over the game.
