Default Would you buy a hardcore Blood & Gore DLC?

I mean after all its a hand to hand battle with sharp deadly weapons.
Could you imagine a battlefield with thousands of troops fighting hand to hand with swords spears etc that could easily chop of heads, arms and legs, seeing people brutally hacked to death with blood spitting out or everywhere.

This is what a battle would be like so would you like to see a really realistic hardcore blood and gore DLC that would portray what an actual battle would be like?

And i do not mean the light shogun blood dlc,
but more like the image below with out the stupid shogun 2 blood splat screen.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I don't mind blood, but I do mind the ridiculous amounts of blood i say flying around in Shogun II's DLC. So if it's going to be like that, then no.

I think shogun 2 blood was to lite but the thing i hated the most about the shogun2 blood dlc was the blood hitting screen effect, very unrealistic and made it look like you was running around the battlefield with a video camera.

Yes, I want tons of realistic high-quality blood and I am ready to buy it as DLC.

personally I liked this effect because battle seemed much more fierce. It felt like you in the middle of the battle as soldier.

That is exactly what you as the player are doing though...

I would not like blood flying every where and limbs coming off bodies, Blood could be added to provide realism and visual effect if done right. (not like shogun 2 where head fly off that was just stupid)

I guess that body parts flying around, soldiers being dismembered etc. could cause a drop in performance of the game. I mean, the more details you have, the more "computer power" you need. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. And for me it doesn't seem necessary to put such a level of "details" in this game genre.
So I'll vote for lite version, but with slightly lowered effects - no more hyper-orgasmic blood fountains etc.

Shogun 2 "lite"? Shogun 2 was unrealistic bordering on the ridiculous. It just looks silly having really high poly models, only to have low quality blood spurts coming out of them. Such a waste.

I just want realistic blood for a blood pack in Rome 2, please.

I've answered no to this poll though, because I wouldn't want an OTT "hardcore" blood pack, and I sure as hell wouldn't want the poor quality and OTT blood pack of Shogun 2 again.

Blood DLC is the one I won't need. Why would I need it, it doesn't affect in gameplay and it's just gonna melt my laptop... So no, but for other DLC's (more factions) YES.

No pun intended, but what is the bloody point? If you have enough time in a strategy game to look at all the blood and guts you are doing it wrong!

And the hilarious splatter movie feel that makes me giggle like a schoolgirl is not something I want in my strategy games. It's stupid camp. If you really want to see something brutal, your usual bet are movies that don't show you the gore but make you feel the violence. Spartacus and its ilk is really just a fetish for Dexter.
"Sebaceans once had a god called Djancaz-Bru. Six worlds prayed to her. They built her temples, conquered planets. And yet one day she rose up and destroyed all six worlds. And when the last warrior was dying, he said, 'We gave you everything, why did you destroy us?' And she looked down upon him and she whispered, 'Because I can.' "

Then you could argue why bother looking at the animations themselves, but the animations, and generally watching the soldiers fight, is a big part of the fun, at least for me.

Definitely. Just like the people who watched gladiator matches during roman times, as a person watching the game in action, I want some blood.

Medieval 2 has a great blood mod, realistic and not to cartoonish. I want something like this for Rome II.

    Will and act until victory
