every body is ranting like little children around the christmas tree, I am surprised the count down does'nt have the minutes, seconds and even the milliseconds.

just hope that pre-loading starts sooner, so even people with slower connection could download the game before 3rd.. my current DL speed is usually around 1Mb/s, so 36gb will take a while...

You realize that there are still a lot of people in the developed world who browse and DL with a tenth of that speed, do you?

According to my unmatched math skills, the game will be available at around 10 am GMT+1. Having that said, with my download speed at 1.2 MB/s, I'll get the full erections at around 7 pm GMT+1, later that day. Still can't wait for shiz. :/

Your math has seemed to fail you. It will be available on Sep 3rd 19:00 GMT +1 (that's 7 pm not 10 am), which would be exactly the time the steam store always has it's daily updates. Maybe we get lucky and they change it to a midnight release. So if your download takes 9 hours you would be "getting the full erection" on Sep 4th at 4:00 in the morning.

I personally would have to download 4,5 days which made the decision in favour of a hardcopy rather simple.

Preload means Steam enable the game to be downloaded few days before actuly release, but even if you can download all the data fully you can't play it yet as the executables and other day 1 patch will onlt be available on release day. This I believe only applicable to those that purchase from Steam or SEGA digital download service.

What happens if you buy the disk on 3rd Sep Morning and install it? Is it possible to play right away or do we have to wait for the steam unlock at 9 PM even with disk?

Does not seem that far away now i bought my copy from amazon as i like to collect the case and hopefully will install from cd rather than waiting for the long 36gb download time.

How does pre-load work? The game starts downloading the day before release, then at midnight it is 'unlocked.'

Dominian: 1Mb is fine, but i moved about year ago, while where i lived before i had fiber connection, so for me 1Mb is quite low.
