Preaching a New, Holy Mission
To the piazzas in Rome, the Cathedrals in Venice and Milan, to Paris, London and Lyons, to the frigid border of the Danube to Londinium and Edinburgh messengers and preachers were sent far and wide. The Order of Didymus sent its loyal far and wide in order to spread the news of its mission, charter, and acceptance by the Latin Emperor. Now all it required was funding. The purses of Europe often felt less heavy after a season of preaching and indulgences. Malet only hoped that this time the wealthy would be just as giving...and the poor as well. Some would rather go without food on the table for the remission of sin.
Malet himself had opted to stay closer to the new political hub of the empire. He preached in Constantinople daily, and sent out collection plates. His meager income alone would not provide the funding necessary to fulfill the grand schemes he had imagined for the Order.
"All dutiful christians must make sacrifices in these times. Hundreds of years of enmity and false teaching must be erased before we may call this land purged of heresy. Ye who have greedily accumulated so much, now be purged of your sin of greed by making a gift to a righteous cause. Ye who suffer, secure blessings for yourself with a donation. God shall surely smile upon you..."
Such similar phrases were being uttered all over the European continent.

In total, 59 donations were made to the newly formed Order. When the tally is made, 4,800 Ducats are the total of money donated to the Order's treasury.
