    Default Pair 'O Questions

    Hello! I've got 2 questions.
I'm playing as the HRE in Stainless Steel 6.4. I'm relatively new to 6.4, since I only recently upgraded from 6.1 (what can I say, I liked Ireland), and I've only had two other campaigns in 6.4 before HRE.

    1. I've noticed that the Pope is nowhere to be found. He pissed me off (as he tends to do when you play as HRE) so I stormed into Pisa and Rome, killed him and took all his stuff. Then, when the new Pope refused my offer to reconcile in return for giving him Rome back, I took out his last host south of Rome and then figured his successor would listen, but the problem is, I can't find him! A new Pope was elected, but he's not outside Rome. Is there a way to find him quickly and easily?

    2. Ever since my last emperor died, I've been having massive issues with the loyalty of Captains. I can't send out any army that isn't headed by a general/family member with more than half of their loyalty bar filled, or they turn rebel in a couple turns. Captains do it after one turn, consistently. Why is this happening? I've lost my main army because of this, and the French have taken advantage of my sudden loss of power by attacking 3 of my settlements.

    1. I would console out and toggle_fow. Don't know any other way.

    2. What kind of traits does your new emperor have? Low authority and/or certain traits can make your armies less loyal to the crown.

Popes can spawn in a region of the nation they're elected from. Try toggle_fow in the console and look through the Pope's national regions (click on the Pope screen to see where he's from).

Otherwise he'll be wherever the priest was who became him, I think. Just gonna be luck that finds him.

Sounds like Bygs grim reality is on, read the manual in the submod subforum for it before you play it.
