    Default Incredible Lagg

I hope i am in the right forum, but i did not find a forum "support" or "technical help".

My problem is that, when playing TATW MOS (and also any kind of MTWII vanilla) I get incredible lagg. Basicly every 5 seconds my screen freezes for 2 seconds. I already reinstalled and run defrag + ccleaner (after running ccleaner it was alright for 2-3 minutes, but might have been by chance). My laptop was able to run Tomb Raider without any problem (some minor lagg). My specs are Windows 7 64bit, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73GHz, 8,00 GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870, 4826 MB insgesamt verfügbarer Grafikspeicher, primäre Festplatte 31GB frei (116GB gesamt). It is an Asus G73J. My laptop is about 2 years old (I think).

I tried running TATW MOS on the laptop of my mother and it run without any problem. Her laptop's specs are: Windows 7 64bit, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 520 @ 2.40GHz,

If requested I can post a video of how my game runs.

Thank you so for any help!

The thing is, your CPU is weak for M2TW, not to mention even weaker for TATW which is even more demanding game.. Switch your laptop with your mother's and you are good to go , but , be advised that even 2.4 GHz can lead to lag on some battles. Also, the heat will add to drop of performance, get some good cooling pad for laptop.
American, French, Israeli and British government's ILLEGAL aggression against the Syrian people, without any proof for chemical attacks in Douma, and without waiting for OPCW to conduct their investigation..
Sons of *******, leave that poor, war torn country in peace.
If you are a citizen of one of these countries, then DO NOT ask any help from me on these forums, since, in protest against this aggression by your governments, I do not provide assistance/help anymore.
Let Syria be finally in peace.

A video of false chemical attack in Douma, Syria, which led to Western illegal attacks.

The problem is that M2TW is an old game and it not made to take advantage of the i7's eight cores. It only uses one of those cores. What are your graphic settings? Have you tried reducing everything to very low? Turn of shadows and grass for sure, they are major performance hogs.

I tried lowest graphics + lowest unit size. Still unplayable :/

My game also encountered an unknown error a few times when I started a battle (I did a couple of custom battle to try out performance)
