Default September 4th release for Australia?

So I just checked the Steam store page. Before it said Game unlocks in September, but today it says SEPTEMBER 4th. Is it because I live in Australia therefore the 3rd of September is the 2nd for the rest of the world, therefore Australians/New Zealanders/West Pacific get it on the 4th? Can anyone confirm when physical hard copies get released in Australia?

Says the same amount of time on mine (3 weeks and 11 hours) and I live in the south central United States. I'm guessing it releases at the same time regardless of where you live so it may be noon on the 3rd here and midnight on the 4th in Australia

Can any Australians confirm will the retailers be releasing Rome II on 3rd or 4th? Not that it matters with the Steam lock, but it'd be nice to have the game box+manual early.

I've pre-ordered disc copy from ozgameshop.com. They're based in the UK, but they've said they'll ship orders on the 3rd. I've asked if they would be able to email me the cd-key on the 3rd, so I can download it and play it in a reasonable time, as it take about a week to get here usually. If that's the case, then 3rd, 4th, 5th... it's not going to be at my house till the 10th maybe

Do you have a local Walmart or something similar? the game unlocks (if im reading this correctly ) right at 1PM Eastern Standard Time for me. Which is when my first class starts on that Tuesday!!!

Talk about let down haha. So if you're like me and atleast wanna get the game pre-loaded I'd go to a local Walmart and buy it. Then buy the DLC some time else off of Steam

Haha nope, in Australia, games are rarely sold in big supermarket outlets, only dedicated electronic/gaming stores.

Has anyone hear about that thing called timezones?
They will release it September the 3rd, at some hour, according to a certain timezone (probably the one where steam is based), at that time it will probably be already the 4th in certain other timezones.

It's likely that retailers, instead, will release on September the 3rd, local time.
But I doubt you'll be able to play the game until it's unlocked on steam.

Just checked with EB over here as well, they're releasing it 3rd, so looks like we get hardcopies early but won't be able to install them. Still, its nice to have the manual and 'Destroy Carthage' to read over.
P.S. Wow its $108 over there in NZ? In Aus its only $88 with the same preorder bonuses. I thought we had it hard...

At EB Games it is, but Mighty Ape is where a lot of people I know purchase games instead because, as you can see, it shaves off about $20.

You really don't want to know. I don't know if its the same in Aussie, but steam is charging 80 USD for the download too (20 more than North America apparently...) not that my internet even allows that as an option...

Probably waiting a few days longer, but getting a hardcopy at < 50% of most local prices makes the possible wait bearable (OzGameShop back when it was 45 AUD ). Mightyape definitely the best local deal though

Do you guys have JB over there? They're selling it $68 with no preorder bonuses though.

Can't find any listing for it, and honestly finding any new release under 100 is a rarity. Waiting a few more days for a reasonable price really wasn't a difficult choice with the "great" selection we have...

Have 1 local bricks and mortar store (90% of which is consoles...) and a bare handful of national options via. internet.

What's important is on the Steam page. It says Setember 4th also for me. I guess they're releasing the game at the same time worldwide so some will be on the 4th.

Yes, it's an internationally coordinated release. Regardless of where you are, or what day it is, the game will unlock in 3 weeks and 2 hours from now.

Should be out around 3am on the 4th of September, at least in old Melbourne town.
