New Total War Idea! Not a Mod-Suggestion for next total war game Stargate Total War!

So I have been thinking about this for a while. I would really like a Stargate Total War game. This would freshen up the series and attract new players. It may sound daunting-traveling to other planets and all, but it really wouldnt be that hard for the skilled innovators at the CA. Think about it, the Jaffa and humans in Stargate use pretty primative war tactics on the ground, and should not be hard to adjust to the Rome Total War system. The space battles would be impossible you say?? Why not just change around the environment- and use the naval battle system! It would not be that difficult. Armies could travel to other worlds through the Stargate, space fleets would fight above the planets. Diplomacy would be extremly interesting between the races-Gou'old, humans, Asguard, etc. Imagine to possibilities with an entirly new genre added to the Total War regime. The only problem would be licensing

No because Total War games do are not focused on films or books, but on history. Otherwise there will be people who would want a Lord of the Rings Total War, a Star Trek Total War and a Star Wars Total War.

Also, CA are planning a Warhammer TW game after Arena.

Not necessarily. CA is working on Warhammer, with Sega, but CA has released non-TW games in the past. So, whilst a Warhammer game will come out, there is no guarantee that it will be "Warhammer Total War", and if it is, it will likely be very different from conventional TW games in term of game mechanics, due to the nature of the Warhammer universe.

Stargate has got to be one of the dullest science-fiction universes. Of all platforms to suggest a TW game go to SciFi, you want Stargate??

I hope you realise he's talking about starGATE, not starWARS

I am not really sure about this idea but the space battles in Empire at War were epic. With the TW engine, space battles could be even more epic.

This shouldn't be in the RTW2 subforum and it shouldn't be in anyones mind as well, I'm sorry but what an awfull idea.

It is not sure that it will be a warhammer total war. In my opinion it would be the most logical choice but it might be that CA is working on a separate game series focussing on warhammer. But I think it would be good for the series if CA does a fantasy TW, and warhammer is probably the best fantasy IP to use for this.
