Can you see the unit count of the enemy's army when you are ambushed on the campaign map? Also can you see the enemy's unit count while in battle by hovering over enemy units when you're being ambushed such as in the battle of teutoberg forest?

I believe so yes, I don't see why not
I'm not complaining, but, answering your question "why not?"; in reality if you get ambushed such as in the battle of "Teutoberg Forest", there is a hell of a lot of confusion and I doubt you would know the exact amount of enemy units ambushing you except that there are a hell of a lot.
I think that the amount of troops in an army should be hidden on the campaign map and in battles unless you have an agent that scouts out the army for you.
That'd be awesome.
It could be an option to have everything hide don't know before scouting its a full stack for example
Yeah but you may not be able to see an ambushing army even if you send an agent within their vicinity as the point of an ambush is so that the enemy stays hidden until an army falls into its trap. I'm guessing you'll have to send scouts to scatter the ambush if anything.

I hope you wont, unit cards should be tagged with "???????".....When you get ambushed, it should be surprise, not knowing what type and how many enemies are lurking around...
