Judea region / Judean units / Jewish accent in the game - completely dissapointed

I must say - i am completely disspointed about Judea/Jerusalem/Jews in this game.
I must say - CA completely ignored this subject...

There are my reasons. I hope is it objective.

1. Dissapointed about Siege of Jerusalem - one of the greatest city in the time of this game isn't possible to siege. I can't understand this decission. Jerusalem had many important and less important sieges in the time of Rome 2. Jerusalem had big walls, better that many other cities in Rome 2 which are possible sieges. It is the important city known from Holy Bible, history, pop-culture. Petra didn't have siges like Jerusalem.

2. Dissapointed that Judea isn't client faction of Ptolemies. If Seleukia (real part of Seleucid Empire, not only client) is in the game client of Seleucids... why Judea isn't client faction? Carthago Nova territories in real history was part of Carthage, but in the game is other faction (client of Carthage). So why important region like Judea isn't client faction?

3. Dissaponted that there aren't Judean mercenaries in Rome 2. We know all mercenaries list. It is completely weird that CA made only Arab units in Judea. Judean mercenaries were commonly known in that time. They were more used in Judea than Arabs. I don't understand that CA completely ignored them.

So what do you think? I hope CA finally will add Jewish accents...

I understand your disappointment with Judean mercenaries not being available. But many famous mercenary forces are absent. Also, TW is a generalizing game, and Judea as an independent 'faction' wasn't around until 167 BCE. I'm positive that you'll experience some Judean revolts there later on, so don't get too disappointed.

Sarcasm aside, for 99% of the games player base this is a complete non-issue. I understand you may be passionate on the subject, as are many of the other outraged posters who are upset that their particular niche has not been treated with tender loving care - the simple fact is they're making a video game. A video game that, despite its grand scope, absolutely cannot include everything and anything that ever was.

I dont even want it in the game, they didn't have a big enough impact on the history of the time in my opinion to warrant having them in the game.

I could care less, but I would have to try very very hard and I don't think it's worth the trouble to make the attempt.

The only thing you could really complain is the lack of walls around Jerusalem. That's it.

Why isn't Jerusalem a client kingdom? Maybe because it wasn't at the start of the game. Maybe because it's for game balance. Maybe there wasn't a real Jerusalem kingdom at that point.

Jewish mercenaries - how about local troops who are not mercs, but can be recruited only in the Judea region? Has this outrageous and sacrilegious thought entered your mind and decided to stay for more than a microsecond? Has it even entered?

CA feared the Jewish lobby in the US and other contries which would call to avoid the game because: You can conquer the Jews, you can destroy Jerusalem etc.

But serious. It is a bit sad that Jerusalem is not in, but i am more disappointed that Corinth isn't at least a minor provincial town. One of the four big metropoles. Just saying.

When will you realize that this is not your personal project about the region you live in and start thinking more objectively? The only valid point that you brought up was the ability to siege Jerusalem and I completely agree.

As far as the rest of the post goes - I don't think anyone gives a damn.

I am happy that some persons understand my thread. Others don'y know that Jerusalem, Jewish people, Judean mercenaries were important things in that period! They are more important than Iceni. Iceni is faction and more... there are playable! Judea and Jews are completely ignored by CA! There isn't city Jerusalem (it looks like Asian village without walls) and THERE AREN'T JEWISH PEOPLE in the game! There aren't Judean mercenaries. Why CA ignored them?

I am not afraid to say - some members are... antisemitism. It is sad but true. I don't want these ignorants of history and people.
