Thanks for the mod - I saw it on DiplexHeatedHD's YouTube channel yesterday and have downloaded and started a 5.1 campaign (to make sure the game launches and runs OK) and will now add the latest patch and run a campaign.

I know the mod is not finished yet.

Thanks for releasing. I've been dragged away from my R2:TW campaigns for this!

If you have two installs, then no. But if you only have one then you'll have to install DM, and it's recommended you do a clean install of Napoleon before installing TGW.

I remember seeing this mod a year ago and I have followed its progress since. Oh my god, it has become staggering with every update and 5.1 is stunning. A massive thank you to Mitch, Brewster and the rest of TGW team. Well done for creating the best mod for NTW, if not all the total wars

I came back after a long time....and I'm glad I did you guys really out did yourselves.

So, I just downloaded the mod from moddb, unpacked the files as suggested, used the launcher and... it does nothing. Both using the "launch mod" nor the "alternate launch method" options, I just get dropped in the normal NTW game, as if nothing was there. No error message, nothing. I've read several pages of posts and haven't come across on this specific problem or a solution...

I am having the same issues with installation, follow all the steps, and the mod will not launch. Only thing I haven't tried yet is a fresh install for NTW...ill try that overnight and come back tomorrow. Would really love to get this to work, been at it about a week now.

Alright, Scratch that, mostly. I'm now in the main menu at least, but everytime I select WW1 campaigns the came crashes to desktop. Any suggestions?

The very first step on that guide refers to a user.script, which does not exist in the 5.1 download file from moddb (the one which includes the launcher that, unfortunately, doesn't work). It appears to be based on some other type of package altogether.

The video guide you mean? Hmm, it might be outdated. Try the written guide below, it has you use the modmanager.

To update the mod I have to install the "patch 5.1.2" and the "patch 5.1.3"?




Problem downloading version 5.1:


The download version 5.1 always crashes at 92/98%.


Do you have another server where I can download?
