Roger de Rochechouart, with permission from the new Emperor Bohemond, began to scout the city. He was trying to assess the damage, both physical and financial, done by the Crusaders, along with estimating the number of new homeless and orphaned in the city itself.
He started with the Venetian attack at the Theodosian Walls. They had crossed from Galata and began their battle. Roger and nearly everyone in the city remembered the smoke that filled the air from the Venetians.
His second stop would be Lycus. It was the main focus of the attack as Bohemond had commanded the attack himself. Roger was unsure as to what happened during the attack or even casualty rates from it. He just knew that he needed to include it.
His last stop would be the Blachernae. He commanded the attack on it and tried his hardest to limit looting and raiding. He had even taken in an abandoned apartment as his new home in the city. Scouting it and seeing any damage first hand would either be a relief or a surprise.
As these 3 points made up the entire city, their levels of stability, damage, and other factors would impact the city as a whole for years to come. Roger left the Grand Palace, and embarked on his task.
