Good luck finding anything about 7.0 in the 14,000 scrambled topics.
were going home, goodbye TWC, I shall stop in sometime
Yes MCM. I thoroughly enjoyed your AAR and was an ardent fan!
TWC has some great sub-forums, but it definitely is lacking a dedicated AAR area, and many AARs here lack screenshots.
There are some great writers amongst TW fans, and AAR's are a perfect outlet.
Man, TR.net better have a dedicated AAR subforum or I might just...........![]()
I've only been around a short while and didn't have RTR before the forums went down.. what is an AAR?
AAR = After Action Report
Which is a story about the campaign your playing.
And yes we still have the AAR forums- for the time being you can find my recent posts here:

cheers,
MCM
Yeah Joey they are great!!!!
The writer tells the story of the campaign in whichever format suits him. He might explain the diplomatic situation. Then he'll cut to a screenshot of the region of the campaign map. Then a battle occurs, and it is written as a dramatic story with screenshots of the action shown. Then the resultant effects upon the strategic campaign map situation are expressed....troop movements...recruitment and reinforcements etc., then back into battle.
There are other ways of doing it but this was the main method employed on RTR.
It is basically like reading an alternate history of the ancient world but with pics!
They are good stuff!
EDIT: There was one guy on RTR who made a comic with speech 'blurbs' and everything like a comedy comic. He was good with cutting & pasting. There were alcoholic characters etc going off the character traits. His screenshots of battle included hilarious character comments and actions (eg the archers 'chucking browneyes' at the enemy 'Braveheart' style etc) and other distractions....
