    Default problems with transferring savegames

i wanted to transfer my savegames from my laptop to my pc. so i went into savegames folder of my laptop and copied the content into the savegames folder on my pc.
Now i can see my savegames ingame on my pc. when i click on "load game" there appeares the loading screen but then it flips back to main menue and does not load my saved game.

Anyone has an idea what i could try to make it work?

Are you 100% sure you correctly installed the game on both systems and you have the same version on same systems (submods, TATW patch, Medieval patch, etc..)?
I can transfer games without any problem.
    In it for the rep.

There is a version mismatch. As Wizard says the game needs to be exactly the same included any editing you have done, and submods, as well as your version of M2TW Kingdoms.

Ok that may be the problem.

When i hold the cursor on my "kingdoms" icon in my game folder it says "File Version 1.3.0" on my pc and "1.5.0" on my laptop.

So i think if i install the 1.5.0 patch on my pc the savegames will work again? I will give it a try.
    thx

Yes, that should do it. Your M2TW / Kingdoms have to be the same version, your TATW has to be the same version, and, if your savegame is from some TATW SUBMOD, that submod also has to be the same version as it was on your previous laptop.

Hmm. Seems i have no good chances to get the damn thing working.

I now updated kingdoms to 1.5 but then there occurs an error that says "uncorrect disc" or something like that. After searching the net i found out that i have some "pyramid-version" and that i need to fix the 1.5 patch again to get the game started.
The "fix" is an exe wich i have to copy into main folder and overwrite te new patched 1.5 exe.

Now i get the game started again but the same error as in my first post appears when i try to laod the game...
    Dunno what to do now.

    Btw. i got no submods.

No, you installed the wrong 1.5 patch. Make sure you installed the right one as there are multiple ones available varying on regions (USA, Germany, Britain, etc...) as well as edition, i.e. Gold vs. Non-Gold.

I have the german gold version of the game. But i think the problem is that it is from "Software-Pyramide"

There are several sites about the problem with the version 1.5 and the edition of "Software-Pyramide".

I tried now several 1.5 patches, like gold, non gold, german, eu, uk... and none of them work without this "fix".
As i said the fix is just an exe of kingdoms.

After i patched the game (without fixing) and hold the cursor upon the kingdoms exe it sais it is version 1.5. But this "fix" exe i have to copy/paste sais it is version 1.3.

Could that be the problem? Just the exe? Cause all other files must be updated to 1.5 i think, or not?
And is this method of finding out the version correct? just to hold my cursor upon the exe-icon? since i cannot start the game unfixed i donīt know other ways to find it out...
