Can't save game!

Whenever I try to save my game it says that it cannot create a save file to the disk. Why is that happening?

Do you have Windows Vista, 7 or 8 as your Operating System?

I have windows 8. New computer. And medieval isn't stored on my boot drive.

Hmm.. It could be Permission issue, this could be fixed by editing security of your main M2TW folder, click on a link bellow called: EK's Install Thread, you can find info there on how to do this. If you have steam, you only need to edit security, if you don't have steam, then:
Edit security for your main M2TW folder, unhide hidden folders, check VirtualStore for M2TW folder and delete it. Test can you save game now.

Also, is your M2TW installed on an EXTERNAL DRIVE?
And, perhapse cleaning some space on the drive where your M2TW is installed might also solve this issue.

Try one of these things and let us know how it goes.

I have unhidden my folders and edited my security. However, it still says I can't save the game to the disk. And its an internal hard drive and has plenty of space (its new). Don't know how to check and delete VirtualStore though.

You have to check what is the NAME OF YOUR PC/COMPUTER, right mouse click on " My Computer! and go to Properties, name of your Computer should be there. Then, check in the thread which I told you about ( EK's Install Thread- link in my signature bellow) on how to go to VirtualStore. Also, can you save games in your original M2TW?

I can't save games in the original m2tw neither. I have a feeling the reason I can't is that it wouldn't let me choose the destination folder in the install and so I had to copy it to the drive I wanted it in. Would that have created any issues?

Wait, you installed M2TW first to one drive, and after that, moved it to another location by simple copy paste method?

Uninstall M2TW+ Kingdoms and then reinstall it again by following this. Good luck!

Ok so I uninstalled it and then re installed it the way the sight said to. It was saved under the other hard drive. However, I am still not able to save.

Probably there are some Registry entries which are left behind and are screwing your new installation.. There is free Registry cleaner program called CCleaner, find it, install it and run Fix Registry utility within the CCleaner. It should get rid of the Registry entries. After that, test the game.

If it doesn't work, uninstall M2TW again, run CCleaner Fix Registry utility, install M2TW again, edit the security of the main M2TW folder and test can you save games.

I tried doing that and it still didn't work. So instead I just installed it on my C drive and it's working. Wish I didn't have to install it there but nothing else seems to be working. Thank you sooooooo much for your help!!!!!!!
