RTW2 Release - The Best Thing about it (On TWC)

Am I the only one looking forward for RTW2 release , because that will finally end all these annoying Speculation/Rage/Whining/ threads , that even existed when all we had was a few screenshots from the game.

As a frequent user of "New Posts" which I'm sure I am not the only one , my browsing trough TWC has been largely ruined by endless threads and posts like
"Will my country (or the supposed ancestors) be in RTW2 , it has to be", "Were Carthagians immoral ?", "Were the Romans Nazi's or Communits" ,"What accent should the Romans have" etc etc etc
The constant bickering about historical inaccuracies , gameplay issues , faction designs and the dlc's .

So here's a hint for you people : CA/SEGA doesn't gives a jack what you think about the game that isn't even released yet , for a number of valid reasons .


Now of course when the game is released then it would make sense to praise/criticize it's aspects and ask for DLC's ( A company that isn't releasing DLC's that are massively asked for is beyond my understanding) .

You're right Vit, but ... don't you think that if a famous company publishes a lot of previews and playable betas, probably something can be said?

Don't you think that also the critics are acts of love? If you love a person criticizing her/him isn't the proof you care about her/him? I've paid for the CA's products from Shogun1 TW, then I paid for Medieval1, then I paid for RomeTW, then I paid for Medieval2, then I didn't pay for Empire and Napoleon because I respect too much the napoleonic warfare, but I've paid for Shogun and all its innumerable add on packs!!!!! So if I see in the preview published by the Company itself something I find wrong, I think that is a moral duty telling what I think, that is if CA was a Mod team:

'Take your time guys! The work still needs at least one year of hard work.... '

Anyway here the good thing I think about Rome2:

'One day not so distant (believe me!) I'll get it ... at 7 € on Steam (complete game with packs! o.c.!)!'

People have a right to be concerned about the game, after all CA's releases are far from perfect. Gamers are also voicing their opinions for two reasons. 1) They hope CA will adjust or release a patch for some of their concerns. & 2) They want to make not to the community for better understanding or to get support for mod fixes.

Then there is the actual amount people care. If you use the new post display, you will see new posts, not necessarily ones that the community actually cares about. Those will be the ones with more replies on the Rome 2 page.

Finally, I hate to burst you bubble, but when Rome 2 comes out you will likely see more rage based threads as people's hopes are met by reality. People hope for certain features that may not show up, or other features may not be what they hoped.

Why can't just people wait for the damn thing to be released and then whine about it because then : They opinion is not unique and game developer releases some patches or They try to make mods .

feedback about stuff even before it's released is good, especially graphical things like the UI. if they are on the fence about something, that might give them the nudge to take it in a better direction. it just depends on how that criticism is given.

I like all the unfounded critique and rage. It's been the same for every release. So to me, this may well go on for a year or two.

Most people post on boards to complain, whine and rage. Very few people post to express the gratitude or joy about a game. Because they are too busy playing it. And some people post to laugh at the whiners. It's the natural order of things.

90% of the people on forums are there to whine about the game. We can't all be making threads like "this game is gonna be awesome eh?". That would get old too.
It's the internet, a place where bored people try to be funny and people consider themselves smarter than they are, you will get threads like this no matter what. Even this thread is just a reflection of whining. So good job
