Please help..Crashing

I really need help with my third age total war. As soon as i launch it, it loads and then just closes, no errors or anything just closes ? :S

Ive looked at lots of different fixes, like time savings etc and still no luck, please help.

Hi there and welcome to TWC Forums!

You should have posted about your problem in The Tech Help Forum, but, since you posted it here, we will try to help you, cause this is a result of bad installation.. Answer these few questions:

1. What Windows do you have?

2. Is your M2TW steam or non steam version?

3. Have you installed all four TATW Installers?

4. Does your M2TW work properly?

1. Windows 8

2. Non Steam

3. Yes all 4 up to 3.2

4. Well it was working fine up until recently i keep getting a message saying "Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit." But my kingdoms expansion works fine :S

There is an installation guide, in my signature bellow there is a link called: EK's Install Thread. It has pictures with steps explained, and these are the ones you need to do ( Note! Apply first step listed and if that doesn't fix your issue, reinstall using the rest of steps listed bellow - step 2, 3, 4. ):
1. Edit security for you main M2TW folder, unhide hidden folders, check VirtualStore for M2TW folder and delete it.

2. Delete manually Third_Age_3 folder from your main ../M2TW/ mods folder.

3. Follow Third Age installation steps for non steam version ( most important thing is the correct destination path for all four TATW Installers, it has to be the same and it has to end with .../ Medieval II Total War! )

4. For battle crashes disable daylight savings, click on your PC's Clock ( Time and Date) go to Time Zone, Change Time Zone, and uncheck 'Automatically adjust daylight saving setting'. Apply and OK.

OOPS, looks like i spoke to soon haha, still getting the "Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit." When i start a battle, i have turn daylight saving time off, please help :L

Delete two descr_geography_new files ( .db and .txt) in your ../ M2TW/ mods/ Folder where TATW is installed/ data folder. And, delete map.rwm file in your ../ M2TW/ mods/ Folder where TATW is installed/ data / world / maps/ base folder.
