Default Will be painted helmets in Rome 2 (for elite Hellenistic units)?

There are some sources that Hellenistic helmets were painted.

I think it will be good to see them in the game.

It will be more variety if some soldiers Hellenistic elite will have painted helmets - agema, hypaspist or Silver Shield. Some soldiers will have unpainted, but some painted helmets.

Some persons will say - these helmets maybe were used in parades but not in battles. Maybe... but maybe not... I say - if there are wardogs, pigs, bronze age Egyptians I don't see any problem to see these helmets. Those painted helmets have more historical than regular units of dogs.
These painted helmets are in realistic mods like Europa Barbarorum, Rome Total Realism and Roma Surrectum.

There isn't any reason that these helmets didn't used in battles.

EDIT: Guys, this thread is not - what do you prefer - metallic or painted. I never said that all helmets should be painted or unpainted.

This thread is about SOME helmets of elite units. Example:

One unit of Hypaspists - 60 soldiers: 10 metallic phrygian, 10 metallic attic, 10 metallic chalcidian, 10 metallic thracian, 10 painted phrygian, 10 painted thracian.

There are some examples of sources and reconstuction:

I think, judging by screenshots that CA went with the metalic look. Would have been nice though.

Aye, in the same way that they've gone for unpainted, rather than colourful, statues in the cities for aesthetic reasons.

There's one month until release OP. Do you think they'll get into the game?

The mettalic look is more intimidating i think. More believable to. Some of the helmets just look like hats.

You can try to ask this question to "Lusty Jack" (see his thread).
BTW i think it's highly likely (and i would like it), we have seen only 2% of hellenistic units, we have 700 unit in total, so...
Disclaimer: the post above is way way prealpha, the final version will be way better than this.

Thank you. I will ask it in Lusty Jack thread.

We seen more than 2% of Hellenistic units. 700 all units - probably 100 will be Hellenistic. I think that most of them will be the same (other names and statistics).
We seen all Hellenistic units in the same helmets - phrygian, thracian, attic, chalcidian, boeotian. Only Spartans have pilos and corinthian. Pilos should be used by all Hellenistic faction in levy and light units.

I see that CA's hypaspists have unpainted helmets. They looks the same as standard hoplites. There isn't change between these units. If some hypaspists will have colored helmets they will look like elite....

Yeah I don't think there was any need for it, I think CA made the right choice asthetically

It will be more variety. There are the same Hellenistic helmets in all hellenitic units. It looks like Samurais from Shogun 2.

I tried to think of things more important than this but I gave up after getting to 6 million. If you want them in by all means mod them, but they are highly unlikely to be in Rome 2 and are certainly not going to be added before release.
