Hello all,
I'm playing RSII 2.5 (latest) on a Mac via Bootcamp and I've come across a strange problem. I'm hours into the game - hours - and I must have fought a over a dozen battles. I'm about 16-18 years into the game. Greece attacks me (Rome) in Sicily and I retaliate by sending a legion to take Syracuse. The garrison script kicks in and after a few turns, the army sallies forth. There are four armies on the field, but less than four thousand men, against my legion.
At all times prior to starting the battle (hitting the start button) I'm getting around 25-40 FPS (I run FRAPS). As soon as I hit the start the button, the FPS drops to 1 or 2. Yes, that low. If I pause the game, the FPS rises back up to 25 to 40. I fought a battle before with the same number of men on the field and no sign of a problem. I exited the game and tried another battle and no problem. I exited again and tried the Syracuse battle again and as soon as I start the battle, it drops.
I get 40-50 FPS on the campaign map.
Anyone have any idea what's going on here? This is literally stopped my campaign cold.
KGG
