Default Rome 2 Technology Perk Tree Questions?

We know there are 3 sections to the perk tree

under military section there are 3 different trees. ------- , Siege, ------- ( i forgot the other 2)
under economy section there are also 3 different trees, ---------, ------------, -------------
also the third i believe is naval technologies.

This thread is to talk about the possible perks and technologies you can research / discover. If any of these perks or technologies have already been mentioned, feel free to mention them here.

It would be nice to if CA would let us see the perk tree =)

share your thoughts on the subject here

p.s will there be a specific building you have to build in order to research (i.e) empire or will it be more like shogun 2?

Keep in mind that the tech choices they've shown in the prologue footage are only for Rome. If what they've implied so far is at all true (which I certainly hope it is) each faction will have their own unique techs.

    Remember, it's just a game.

The two different techs were military and civil: military is management, tactics, and siege and civil has economy, philosophy, and I forgot the third. Each faction has their own specific techs, so there will be little overlap. Regarding speculation- it's essentially endless. Greeks and Romans can probably research "defensive tactics" that will enable formations like the phalanx or the testudo, while Celts would unlock the shield wall. Philosophy looks like it has the most promise and is probably essentially for a cultural victory. Say if your a Greek faction and you research something like Epicureanism, that might become really popular elsewhere (like in Rome) and aid you in a cultural victory.
ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ- come and take them!

My favourite thing about this is that the Marian Reforms appear to be researchable, which means I can upgrade my cities without losing the pre-Marian troops early in the game. I hated how I'd get to an Imperial Palace by 215BCE and suddenly have the army reforms.
